SPECIAL VICTIM

By Ash Flanders, Produced by Feast Festival, 2013, Hares & Hyenas, 2014, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, 2015.

Ash Flanders is one of Australia’s leading queer theatre makers, most recognised for his work with Melbourne theatre company Sisters Grimm. Special Victim, originally commissioned for the 2013 Feast festival, sees Flanders and director Stephen Nicolazzo (of fellow queer theatre company Little Ones Theatre) smash together cabaret and stand-up with critical self-interrogation, comedy with darkness, and present it all with a healthy dose of glitter.

Special Victim toured between 2013-2015 with presentations in Adelaide as part of Feast Fesival and the international Adelaide Cabaret Festival. It also had a Melbourne season in 2014 which garnered a Green Room award for Best Writing (Cabaret) and a nomination for Best Artiste.
